Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in September 2022 decreased compared to August 2022, from US$1.35 billion to US$1.15 billion or decreased by 14.85 percent. When compared to September 2021, North Sumatra's exports increased by 8.49 percent
The category of goods that experienced the largest decline in exports of animal/vegetable fats and oils was US$164.30 million (-24.52%) followed by various chemical products, which amounted to US$17.89 million (-11.31%).
Exports to China in September 2022 were the largest at US$238.65 million, followed by the United States at US$112.09 million and India at US$100.70 million with the contribution of the three reaching 39.35 percent.
According to the group of main export destinations in September 2022, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$476.91 million (41.56%).
