Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in August 2022 increased compared to July 2022, from US$1.25 billion to US$1.35 billion, an increase of 7.78 percent. When compared to August 2021, North Sumatra's exports increased by 16.85 percent
The category of goods that experienced the largest increase in North Sumatra's export value in August 2022 to July 2022 was animal/vegetable fats and oils of US$670.08 million (12.13%).
Exports to India in August 2022 were the largest at US$218.76 million, followed by China at US$210.48 million and the United States at US$140.60 million with the contribution of the three reaching 42.28 percent.
According to the main group of export destinations in August 2022, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$548.04 million (40.67%).
