Abstract

Human Development Index (HDI) is one of the indicators to see the quality of human development. According to UNDP, HDI can be seen through the achievement of the strategic value of life (longelivy), knowledge (knowledge), and decent living standards (decent living). This publication not only describes the condition of 2008 alone, but also compared with the condition of 2007 so it can see the development of human development during the period 2007-2008. This publication also compares the HDI across districts / cities in North Sumatra Province.
