Sumatera Utara Consumer Tendency Index in Quarter IV 2017 was 109.73

Abstract

• The Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) of Sumatera Utara in the fourth quarter of 2017 was 109.73, meaning that the consumer economic condition in the fourth quarter of 2017 was better than the third quarter of 2017. The improvement in consumer economic condition was mainly driven by the increase in consumption volume , 80).

• Compared with the third quarter of Q1 / 2017 of 101.97, the level of consumer optimism in Q4 / 2017 was higher than the third quarter of 2017.

• Compared to the province in Sumatra, Quarter IV-2017 of Sumatera Utara index value is ranked second.

• The value of ITK in Sumatera Utara in the first quarter of 2018 is estimated to be 89.69, meaning that the consumer economic condition in the first quarter of 2018 is estimated to be no better than the fourth quarter of 2017. The level of consumer pessimism is caused by the low purchase of durable goods with index value amounted to 67.27.
